OK Our Kids header

OK Our Kids is a community interest company dedicated to helping young children deal confidently with the challenges and dangers of staying safe at home, at school and in the wider community.

Thank you for your support. You can donate simply and securely through this site.

Why your donation is so important.

Bullying, cyber bullying, stranger danger, knowing how to deal with internet and mobile sexploitation plus the pressures from TV and social media … is it any wonder our young people feel confused about how to stay safe?

When Claire Annison and I worked together as Officers for Thames Valley Police and visited Primary Schools we saw at first hand the need for a better approach to teaching children how to deal with the pressures of living in today’s world.

In response, Claire and I formed ‘OK Our Kids’ and produced a book and teaching aid called ‘Watch Out!’: a practical and positive educational tool that engages parents, teachers and children with the problems our kids face everyday. This is now available nationwide and seen as a very valuable resource for helping children understand how to respond positively to potential dangers.

Your donation will help us expand our educational programme with further books and other resources. And we’ll also be able to help more children and families already affected by child abuse and bullying by expanding our counseling and community support.

Our Patron is Team GB Rowing Champion, Katherine Grainger, who alongside Rebecca Adlington, is the UK's most decorated female Olympians.

We have surrounded ourselves with a great group of trustees including Naomi Riches, the Paralympic Gold Medalist. Naomi, who is partially sighted and colour blind has also designed our Logo, which we are very proud of.

Thank you for your donation, it means a lot to us that you care about and support our work. Together we can make our communities a safer place for our kids.
